TOPSY TURVY

I used a pattern from Hickety Pickety to make this 9" topsy turvy. They are adorable. Annie's dress is a blue checked and Mammie's dress is a little red and white polka dot. They can be yours for $20.00 and that includes their bus fare.

This is a sweet 20” partially stuffed rag doll with her 5.5” snowman. She is made from coffee stained muslin then painted black, sanded and stained again. Her eyes have been painted, her nose is pinched stitched and her hair is sheep wool. She is wearing a green flannel dress that has little black outline stars. Her pantaloons are black fabric with little white dots. Her apron is muslin I have stitched In The Meadow We Can Build A Snowman and I also stitched a snowman then spattered white paint to give the look of snow falling. Selma is wearing a rusty jingle bell necklace her snowman has French knots for eyes and buttons, paint for his nose, a stitched mouth, sticks for arms, and a knit hat and scarf. 39.00 plus shipping

Crabby Gabby

To start the New Year off I made this awesome Angel Make Do using a pattern from Crabby Gabby. She stands 22.5” tall and her wing span is 22” wide. She is made from coffee stained muslin and osnaburg. I painted her body black then sanded, stained and dusted her with cinnamon. Her eyes are made from osnaburg and hand stitched into place. Her nose is pinched stitched. The mouth was made separately then stitched into place and painted red. She has wool roving for hair. Her wings are hand sculpt and painted with a white wash. I have attached her onto an old wood bobbin and secured her with crochet cotton thread and coffee stained cheesecloth. Her heart is navy stripe ticking that has been wired in place. The paper that is rolled up has a wonderful Love verse printed on it. The tag reads Agape, which means “Unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another”.
