PUMPKIN WITH WITCH HAT AND BOOTS

I just love this BIG OLD PUMPKIN!!! The pumpkin itself is about 12" across and 8" tall, I used a white birch limb for the stem. Then I added a cool witches hat and the olde grungy boots which is sitting on top. I put a hugh bunch of Sweet Annie in the boots soooo that makes the over all height about 27" tall! The hat is made from black painted muslin, I tied a coffee stained piece of cheese cloth around the hat and used a rusty safety pin to add the rusty jingle bell to the tip of the hat. The boots are also black painted muslin, I tied coffee stained cheese cloth around the top of the boots, added a piece of stained burlap with a rusty safety pin and bells. I also took a rusty piece of wire and wrapped it around the toes with a rusty jingle bell. I added an olde witch's spell tag and some spanish moss and lots of cinnamon to make it smell yummy. This was made from a pattern by The Old Glory Company. This great piece is 59.95 and the shipping is 12.95 due to it's size for the U.S. 48 only all others please contact me for a price quote.

CROW WITCH

Happy Halloween, my favorite holiday season! This month I have this sweet lil Crow Witch Doll she is only 15" tall. She is made from coffee stained muslin then painted black. I gave her french knots for her eye's. She has a black muslin witches hat and a really neat green print fabric with black writing and line drawings on it for her dress. It says "fly away blackbird" and has line drawings of crows. I put 2 rusty jingle bells on the front of her dress and adorned the neckline with black vintage tinsel. I also gave her a black print pouch that is draped over her shoulder and added wheat and a tag that says "seed treats" I used a pattern from Veena to make her. She is $19.95 and the shipping is 6.95 in the U.S. 48 only all others please contact me for a quote

AVA GRACE

I am taking part in this wonderful auction for Ava Grace that will be held Sept. 16-22. http://avagraceangelsunaware.com/ There are so many awesome artist that are contributing to this great cause. Please visit the auction and help Ava and her family. My little Angel is a Jus B'cuz Original, she is 17" tall made from lightly coffee stained muslin. She is partially rag stuffed so she has that wonderful heavy feel to her. Her hair is lightly stained cheese cloth, the eye's are penciled in and her nose and mouth are hand stitched. I sealed her face to preserve the coloring of her eye's. Ava's little baby lamb is also lightly coffee stained muslin, the nose has been dry brushed on and the eye's and ears are stitched on. He is adorned with a rusty jingle bell collar. I also hand stitched the lamb to Ava's dress so she will never lose him! Ava's cotton dress is a very soft pink with white hearts. I hand embroider the Ava Grace Angel's logo to the bottom of her skirt. Her wings are a pink and white checked and she is wearing a silver vintage tinsel halo. I hope my little Angel will help Ava and her family. Please visit the auction and better yet make a donation! Thank you and God Bless! Sommer

OLD LADY LIBERTY

Here she is Olde Lady Liberty and she is really awesome. I have to tell you though the picture does not do her justice. The color of her is not showing up well at all she is all a teal color her body, clothes, torch, the little book and tag. If you would like to see more pictures just e-mail me and I will send them over to you. I have taken several of them. But let me start to describe the Olde Lady to ya. She is 22” tall and made from coffee stained muslin that has been soaked in teal color watered down paint. I hand stitched her eyes and pinched stitched her nose. I then inserted 5 2.5” rusty spiked nails into her head ouch!!! lol I gave her a muslin teal color sash and made a little muslin book and a tag that says “ I lift my lamp beside the golden door” which is a quote from Emma Lazarus. I also made the torch from the coffee stain teal soaked muslin and inserted that on a tree branch. I took a 10 light battery pack and hand dipped the lights in green color silicone. I stitched the battery pack to her back and added 2 C batteries included so you can light her up. There is an on/off switch so you don’t have to have the lights on all of the time. She really looks cool when they are lit up, she is a real treasure to have. I made this awesome doll using a pattern from Sassafras Hill and added the lights as my own personal touch. $48.95 plus shipping

APRIL SHOWERS BRINGS MAY FLOWERS

Just in time for Spring I have made this wonderful April Showers Umbrella. I used a piece of rough cut cedar that has been aged for the base. The stick of the umbrella is an old dead stick of my weeping willow tree. The umbrella is natural wonder batting that I painted red then put through the grunge treatment. I then added white polka dots it is just to cute! The mice are also made of natural wonder batting that has been painted white and antique. They have black beads sewn on for eyes and a jute tail. I added moss under the umbrella and a few dried flowers to give the mice the most perfect home they could ever ask for lol. The overall measurements of the base is 8.5” x 9” x 7” tall. I used a Kentucky Primitives pattern to make this wonderful unusual piece of Folk Art. $29.95 plus shipping If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me.
